Program

Publication – Special Issue

We have applied for a dedicated issue of Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society. Decision is pending in mid September 2025. If the proposal is accepted, we invite participants to contribute.

Scientific Program

The program will include oral and poster presentations relating to the various aspect of Fish Mating Systems. Oral presentations will be organized into blocks focusing on specific themes. All presentations will be in a single lecture hall (no parallel sessions), allowing delegates to attend all talks. Posters will be displayed next to the lecture room in a spacious hall where coffee and snacks will be served.

Social Program

We will book a restaurant and student cafeteria for Wednesday and Thursday evenings that will accommodate all participants. We also plan to leave enough time for posters and general discussion.

All facilities are within a walking distance of the conference venue, which is located 1.5 km from the monastery where Gregor Mendel conducted his ground-breaking genetic experiments with pea plants, and 3 km from Brno city centre.

Brno is a small university town, with a low-cost and efficient city transport network (including night transport).
